Any1 Know If You Buy An Apartment In Bulgaria,do The Mafia Demand That You Pay Them Rent For U Owning Property
Was thinkin of buying an apartment in Bulgaria but was turned off when some one told me that you have to pay rent to the bulgarian mafia if you own property in their country, i dont know how true this is but seemingly they wreck the property if you try avoid them.

Generally speaking, this is not true. But you do have to keep in mind that your ownership rights will be limited. For example, should the city decide to tear down the building your apartment is in, their idea of fair compensation will be very different from yours and will probably prevail.
Don’t be so ridicuous.
hahaha,thats funny
You don’t have to pay no mafia
My boss has just bought an apartment in Bulgaria, and hes not heard anything like this.
I think someone is telling you porkies to wind you up
It is not too bad now. The country is joining the EU and they have to clean their act. But managing the property from abroad will be a hell of a job, believe me.
You have to pay to the mafia only if you have a private business like a club or some….
No such thing about properties
i would say not so much if its just accomodation, mafia would rather hit business. IMO
